When is massage just a massage?  PULP FICTION brought up this controversy and this scene appears to validate it’s preposition,  mainly that a massage is NEVER just a massage!  
Charly kindly offers to rub her step-dad’s knees after seeing him suffering after playing tennis. The two joke about how this is sort of how many porn scenes in order to alleviate the growing SEXUAL TENSION!  It doesn’t seem to work,  as the massage grows into Charly then lying on her step-dad John’s lap..  even Ray Charles could see where this is going…
