Dakota Respiratory Crisis in ICU (CPR, RESUS, DEFIB, INTUB, AMBU)

Dakota is hospitalized in the ICU after cardiac arrest. She has just been extubated when she has a respiratory crisis. She stops breathing and rescuers enter the room. Initially they try to revive her only with the AMBU, but soon the girl goes into cardiac arrest. The doctor initiates CPR while the nurse continues the AMBU bagging. The girl does not recover but she goes into fibrillation. The defibrillator is discharged several times on Dakota’s chest, but to no avail. Eventually the girl is completely naked on the hospital bed and after other cycles of resuscitation by her in asystole. Her airways also close, so the doctor decides to intubate her. Thus resuscitation maneuvers with CPR, AMBU and Defibrillations resume. Eventually, after several defibrillations and several rounds of resuscitation, Dakota recovers and her heart rate returns to normal.
