She hit the silent alarm. So the man decided to take Kyra hostage. He took her to his safe house and there, with Kyra protesting, he tied her up with rope.  To keep her quiet, the man stuffed and taped her mouth to gag Kyra. He then left her struggling bound and gagged until he was sure it was safe to make his get away out of town
